It all began in 2012 when the core management team of Medialog (a software company) recognized that their market-leading legacy system for agencies (Adlog) was becoming outdated due to the dramatic shift in the industry buying patterns.
Clients were now prioritizing agility, usability, and specialized functionalities. The era of heavy, outdated systems was giving way to agile and cloud-based solutions. The rise of mobile and cloud technologies was transforming the method businesses operated.
Aware of all this, it was time to sit down and get ready for the future.
And that was what happened…
Four Portuguese technologists teamed up with a German sales specialist, and their response to the unpredictable market was to embark on an exciting new venture - Skills Workflow.
Build a cloud-based platform that could easily scale internationally and revolutionize the content creation value chain.
Simplify and optimize agency management, focusing on efficient project and task management, resource allocation, and other critical functionalities specifically designed for the marketing services industry.
Although the road was a bit bumpy, the path was clear, and we finally got there: an all-in-one solution connecting every step from “briefing-to-billing”.
But that wasn’t enough for us!
Considering buyer's changing habits of the past, we needed to guarantee that our tool was continuously evolving and on top of market needs. So, trusting the client's feedback and advancements in machine learning, we successfully overcame that.
Skills Workflow is always adapting and improving to be the answer to every “new” problem.
With such efficiency, it was just a matter of time to start getting traction. And it occurred quickly and in a big style.
Interpublic Group (IPG) was our first major client, deploying the platform across 32 agencies in 24 countries - serving more than 3,000 users. Immediately, other big agencies such as MullenLowe, McCann, and Mediabrands saw the benefits and also jumped on board.
Faster content creation, reduced rework, fewer missed deadlines, and pondering resource allocation were some “impossible to miss” advantages for these clients.
As the platform's reputation grew, so did the brand awareness, hence its client base. Agencies across multiple markets adopted Skills Workflow, recognizing its ability to streamline operations by replacing disparate (and non-necessary) tools with a unique integrated platform.
Only 3 years later, we expanded our market share globally, even opening offices in new markets and around the globe. We became the Brazilian market leader, serving the country’s largest and most prestigious agencies and brands.
Today, operating in over 35 countries, we continue our work to be the leading project management platform so that thousands of active users can rely on us to enhance their day-to-day work processes.
